City of Dallas

The New Hope Church monument is the spot of a three day battle where Confederate troops fought to hold the line against Union troops heading toward Atlanta. Dallas is the largest of Paulding County's three cities. The two other cities are Braswell and Hiram. Attractions include the nearby High Shoals Falls, public golf, and the Southeastern International Dragway.

According to 2000 Census, the City of Dallas had a population of 5,056 persons. Between 1990 and 2000, the city experienced a population increase of 79.9%, compared to the state growth during this period of 26.4%.
